Temporary Closure for Culvert Replacement at Clifton Park – Halfmoon Town Line

Clifton Park Highway Superintendent Dahn Bull has announced that English Road, at the Clifton Park – Halfmoon border, will be closed to through-traffic starting on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. In conjunction with drainage ditch repair along English Road, a minor culvert is being replaced across the road requiring it to be closed for several hours.

During the closure, the Clifton Park Highway Department will have detours available for commuter traffic. The closure will last from the morning to early afternoon. Department staff is planning on reopening English Road the same day.

The Town Highway Department asks that motorists practice increased caution while driving in the area. The road will be impassable during this period of construction.

All work will be clearly marked. Motorists, especially motorcyclists, should use caution while driving through these areas as some portions of the road may be uneven.
