Following extensive planning in conjunction with Park District representatives, the Town Board in August of 2025 completed the approval process to redevelop Longkill Park on Longkill Road. 

Updates include changing the orientation of the park to allow for safer parking and recreation, brand new inclusive playground equipment, a new basketball court, resurfacing of the tennis courts, and a new parking lot.

The playground equipment, parking lot and new basketball court have been installed and tennis court resurfacing is complete. The court surfaces require a few weeks to cure prior to the final application and striping.

Weather permitting, the courts will be sealed and lined and final work on the parking lot will be finished next week.  The Buildings and Grounds team is now in the process of finishing all site work, which will include the installation of new swing sets. 

The park will remain closed while the construction work moves into the final phase. We appreciate your patience as we complete this project and look forward to having residents of all ages enjoy the new Longkill Park very soon.
