INVASIVE ORIENTAL BITTERSWEET HANDS-ON WORKSHOP
Sat
May 16
Attendees will:
—Learn to identify bittersweet
—Understand its deadly effects
—Learn proper removal & disposal techniques
—Gain hands-on experience removing bittersweet vines at Veterans’ Memorial Park
Oriental Bittersweet is a tree killer. It is a prolific vine that girdles trees and aggressively competes for canopy space.
It strangles, starves, and—without our intervention—kills otherwise healthy trees.
Trees that have Oriental Bittersweet growing on them are dying and will die without our help.
Oriental Bittersweet is affecting a large portion of our Clifton Park trees.
All who come will be able to deal with bittersweet in their own yards and can educate others.
