The Town of Clifton Park provides weekday Senior Express transportation for residents of the Town of Clifton Park. To reserve a seat please call: 518-371-4444
Donations are accepted to help defray the cost of operating the vehicles

Reservations:
Please make your reservation at least 1 week in advance, out of town medical appointments at least 2-3 weeks in advance.

Medical appointments as requested to the following areas:
Albany, Schenectady, Troy, Ballston Spa, Saratoga, Mechanicville and Latham.

Out of Town Medical Appointments:
Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays ONLY
Please make your medical appointments that are out of town between 9:30am-1:00pm.
No returns from Albany later than 3:00pm.

In Town Medical Appointments and Other Shopping/Local Appointments:
Wednesdays & Fridays
Please make your reservation at least 1 week in advance.

Eligible Riders

  • Riders must be 50 years of age or older and live in the Town of Clifton Park.
  • A wheelchair lift is available.
  • Those needing assistance must be accompanied by an escort.
  • Adult handicapped persons under 50 years of age will be considered on a time available basis.

    Saratoga County Meal Program

    The Home Delivered Meal Program provides a hot, nutritious, noon time meal to home-bound seniors throughout Saratoga County. Monday - Friday to qualifying seniors.

    Saratoga County Office for the Aging

    The Saratoga County Office for the Aging is committed to assisting our older citizens to remain in their homes and to actively participate in family and community life. These services create opportunities for active seniors and meet the needs of those at risk of losing their independence. Older people have access to information and referral services, transportation, job and volunteer opportunities, senior center, and day care center programs, congregate and home delivered meals as well as case management and in-home services.

    Care Links helps to keep people living independently in their homes as long as possible without duplicating other, well-established services.  Those services include: Friendly visiting; Transportation; Respite assistance; Shopping and errands; Housekeeping and chores; Support groups; Telephone reassurance; Information and referral.

    Emergency housing programs provide temporary indoor accommodations for seniors, families and other individuals who are facing a high risk of homelessness. The Clifton Park Senior Community Center is conveniently located on the Clifton Common in the Town of Clifton Park. The facility hosts numerous activities designed to enrich the lives of Clifton Park’s senior population.

A $20/year membership to the Center allows anyone 50+ everything the Center has to offer (Membership Application available for print HERE). Many daily classes, workshops, and activities are free of charge, while some programs require a reasonable fee (Check out our Class Showcase HERE). Rooms at the facility can be rented for private events and parties. For general questions or rental information, please contact the Center at 518-383-1343.

The Town of Clifton Park's R. U. OK? program is a voluntary special needs registry for residents living at home who may be medically vulnerable during an emergency.

Benefits of registering for the free program:

  • Registrants are added to a confidential Special Needs Registry that is shared with local emergency service agencies.
  • During an emergency or disaster, a volunteer will call you to be sure you and your home are safe and secure. The caller will help you determine if any more assistance may be needed.
